It was our pleasure to be a part of Kids In Distress Spin-A-Thon 2011 which helped to raise $130,000.00 for abused and abandoned children in South Florida. Thank you to all the Zoo Fitness Instructors who volunteered their time, effort, positive energy and talent to keep the participants cycling for seven hours. Thanks to all the participants that financially contributed to this wonderful foundation that cares for and strengthens our community’s children.
The A1A Marathon was off and running in March 2011. The Zoo Health Club of Ft. Lauderdale Beach was a proud sponsored of a group of enthusiastic runners called the “Westrac Team of Runners”. The Zoo & Westrac co-labored with Helping Hands of Harbor Town to raise money for a heart transplant for a wonderful 3 year old little boy named Christopher Knowles. It was our pleasure here at the Zoo Health Club to be a part of the money earned to help heal Chris’s heart. We would like to thank Helping Hands of Harbor Town for giving us the opportunity to participate and we can’t wait to race again next year.
