My initial discovery of a disciplined physical workout began with dance. This led to 10 years of performing professionally on Broadway, in National Touring Companies, Regional Theater Companies and Modern Dance Companies. Strength training workouts and Yoga were the perfect transition that inspired me to become a Personal Trainer and Yoga Instructor beginning in 1993. My fitness philosophy is about having a body and mind in balance. Paying attention to core strength training and proper alignments, combined with Yoga stretches, good nutrition and cardiovascular work create a great balance, which I truly enjoy inspiring in all my clients.
Education, Training, and Certifications:
- Nationally recognized certification from the Cooper Institute of Aerobics Research in Personal Training
- Numerous workshop certifications and teacher trainings in Vinyasa Flow, Ashtanga, and Iyengar styles of Yoga.
- Yoga teachers have been many, but special favorites include Shiva Rae, Rodney Yee, Ramanand Patel, and Dona Holleman.
- BA in Theater Arts (Dance Emphasis) University of California Santa Cruz
- Extensive Dance training and performing in New York City including performances on Broadway, National Touring Companies and Modern Dance Companies
